I am a Buffalo, NY based Art Director and Brand Designer focused on growing business with creative storytelling.
Yes, I am highly skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, and Illustrator. Sometime’s that is enough, but you know you need more than an Adobe Creative Suite monkey. Whether you’re starting from scratch to build (or rebuild) your brand’s identity, launching a new product, or creating awareness with marketing initiatives, a full design process - strategy, conceptualization, development, scheduling, approval, activation and delivery - is the real recipe for success. It’s not just about making cool graphics (although that’s part of it!), it’s about connecting with your audience. Creative direction will dictate how to tell your story through visual design. This is my tried and true path to success in these endeavors:
Discover
First we will take a look at what you already have going on. A brand audit, if you will. We'll also define and research your target market, analyze your competitors, and see where your opportunities lie. This will allow us to...
Define
Defining your story is ultimately what defines your strategy. The question is not, "how do I get people to buy what I'm selling?" Instead we ask, "How do I communicate to the right people in the right place at the right time?" In this step we will define exactly what we are creating and the process we will use in the next two steps.
Design
This is all about content creation. From your company logo to Instagram posts to an email campaign, this is about communicating authentically to your audience how you bring value to their lives.
Deploy
In this step we activate all of our hard work to your target audience.
Analyze
Here we will analyze the performance of the objectives in order to refine our strategy. It's satisfying to push beautifully crafted content out into the world, but we need to know how engaged your audience truly is.
My own story began about 18 years ago when I was hired as an intern at a small creative agency in NYC. I quickly realized that the skills I was acquiring are a universal language that would allow me to work across many different industries. Since then, I’ve partnered with artists, retail brands, tech startups, digital media companies, and creative agencies.
